Sumaiya Said "I was so helpless! I am thankful that the HF-DRR project trained me. I got the courage and confidence to open a shop in my village after the training I received from LAMB. Afterwards I took a loan from my Self-help group and started a small shop selling cheap everyday goods. Now, I earn at least Tk. 300 daily from the shop. I am also rearing cows, goats and chickens. With the extra money, I support my husband in cultivating paddy. I worked hard and got the result. Please pray for my business to go ahead to succeed."
Before leaving Annana and her family said,
“We have never seen anything like this. Today Annana can walk home on her own feet. The village people will not believe this. Many people will come and see her when we go back to the village. Amazing! We will never forget your prayers, your love, and your care. Please keep praying for Annana”.
Momena said, “By the grace of Allah, I came to know about LAMB Hospital and with their help I was cured.”
“I received training and became an active listener to those who are mentally depressed in my community.”
Minoti Murmu stated, “Every time a pregnant mother is satisfied with my service, I ask them to tell their friends and family to come to the health facility for their deliveries. The awareness levels are increasing, as more and more women come to the health facility to deliver their babies and for antenatal and postnatal care…,”.
This story is one of many examples of the multifaceted needs that our health team encounters, and we have the privilege of helping to address some of them in Christ’s name.
Mukta and her colleagues remained committed to helping mothers during the early days of the Covid 19 pandemic. Bangladesh was in lockdown, but the doors of the clinic were open.
Ashadhul is a 12-year-old boy with cerebral palsy and right hemiplegia. He is from a poor family: his mother, Tosslima, his father, Abu, a day labourer, and his three older sisters.
One student embracing his leadership potential is seen in former LAMB student Rawfun. While he attended LAMB School, Rawfun realized that a lot of plastic products that could be recycled and repurposed were instead being thrown in the dump.
Sadik's family is a very needy one. Sadik's father is the only earning member of the family. Since Sadik had cleft lip, his parents were always worried about him.
