A 24 hour service carries out crucial tests including hematology, biochemistry, serology and microbiology tests. The laboratory carries out nearly 80,000 tests every year.

Blood transfusion

When blood is required, people connected with the patient are commonly asked to donate. At LAMB we have a wider system of blood donations, including staff and volunteer donors more than 775 blood transfusions were carried out in 2021. Imaging

LAMB Hospital offers X-rays including some with contrast (Pyelogram). LAMB doctors are doing ultrasound. On medicine side we offer abdominal scan and echosonography. On Obstetric and gynae side we offer pregnancy ultrasound including doppler sonography of the baby, vaginal scan and breast scan.

We benefit from overseas radiologists and sonographers who continue to raise the skill levels of our staff. Over 3400 X-rays, 1200 ECG and 7000 USG are taken annually (2021 MIS & Laborary data).

Pharmacy

Stocked with cost-effective pharmaceuticals that are available in-country. A few locally unavailable drugs are brought in. Medicines are sold at marginally more than the cost price.
