Emotional and Spiritual Care
The LAMB approach to overall health is physical, spiritual, social and emotional welfare. Though well known for physical health care in the hospital, counselling is also available.
Chaplaincy
Our chaplains visit all patients to offer counselling and/or prayer at the bedside and in a private room located off the outpatient waiting area.
Crisis Intervention
A Crisis Management Team helps primarily women and children who have experienced abuse by listening, counseling, and referring to appropriate services.
Mental, Emotional Health
A new mental health program seeks to open additional pathways for care for those with mental and emotional health needs. Lay counsellors have received trauma healing training. The team is laying groundwork to improve community and hospital-based mental health care and support.
