LAMB English Medium School

LAMB English Medium School started in 1996 as a service to staff children and is now open to enrolment to non-staff children. Classes run from preschool (age 4+) to O-level. In 2023 the school had 152 students enrolled. The school operates with a high staff to student ratio.

For an admission application, email info@lambschoolbangladesh.org; reviews are found here.

LAMB school strives to develop students to their full spiritual, physical, social, cognitive and emotional potential. The teachers provide high quality education in a Christian environment.

We hope to see students become models of leadership and service, with hearts focused on serving the poor. The school helps LAMB to serve the poor by enabling local students from families without adequate resources to attend and by providing for the families of LAMB staff so they can continue their work.

Standards and Curriculum Content

With both national and foreign staff children, the school uses English as its core language. Bangla is used as the primary medium of instruction in preschool through G2 with English as a subject and then from Grade 3 and above English is the primary medium of instruction with Bangla as a compulsory subject.

We follow guidelines set in the English National Curriculum and our O level qualifications are certified by the Cambridge Assessment International Education through the British Council in Bangladesh. The curriculum content represents the variety of nationalities and cultures of the students. We seek to ensure that each child develops the skills, knowledge and understanding that they need to succeed, each in his own culture.

Multicultural Diversity

Students and teachers are from a variety of nationalities, religions, people groups, economic levels, customs and cultures. This gives us a unique opportunity to encourage and teach mutual respect and understanding.

Special Needs

Recognising that all people are created by and are important to God, academic qualifications are not the primary factor in admission to the school. The teachers do their best to help children with special needs to succeed.

Faith

Through morning prayers, weekly assemblies and Bible classes, and through the interaction of teachers and students we seek to teach integrity, high moral standards as we live out our faith in Jesus.

Stipend Fund

The school is committed to making itself available to as many children as possible. To help achieve this, a stipend fund is in operation. If you are interested in supporting LAMB school’s stipend fund, you can find further information for giving here, or write to info@lambschoolbangladesh.org

Teachers

LAMB school always needs Christians willing and able to teach. If you are a Christian interested in teaching opportunities, please write to info@lambschoolbangladesh.org.
